It was a gorgeous fairytale wedding in Montecito, California just 72 days ago! Yes, 72 days ago the Kardashians were in Santa Barbara County producing the most lavish wedding in reality television history! Ryan Seacrest was there making sure every scene was filmed for the E Network’s “Keeping Up With The Kardashian” series, and Kim looked beautiful. Tens of millions of dollars spent and made from the wedding, mom Kris Jenner, brother Rob, who is a contestant in ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” was there and so was half of Hollywood. Even Lindsay Lohan and her mom Dina attended the lavish affair. Now, the divorce from husband Kris Humphries is in the works!
Highlight Hollywood confirmed independently that Kim K is filing for divorce later this morning, and so does her TV show’s producer. The reality star also confirmed the news to Ryan Seacrest. “Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning,” Seacrest tweeted. “I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few minutes.”
Kim Kardashian’s attorney is celeb lawyer Laura Wasser, who has represented such stars as Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, and Robyn Gibson. Laura is not in the gates of her Bird Street mansion right now. She’s in the city filing away, and Kris Humphries had better look out. Kim K is not about to share her massive fortune with anyone! The couple wed in Montecito, Calif. after just nine months of dating, most of which seen on the reality show. A source close to mom Kris says, that Kim cried over the decision, but in the end felt it was a huge mistake!
Kim K said in a statement to the media, “After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage,” she said. “I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.” Though her stunned husband basketball great Kris Humphries told TMZ this afternoon, “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce … I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”
