'B&B' Stunner Jacqueline MacInnes Wood To Star in CW's 'Arrow', Highlight Hollywood News
“The Bold and the Beautiful” superstar Jacqueline MacInnes Wood has just signed on to the CW pilot “Arrow.” Jackie will portray Sarah Lance in the new series, and is just wonderful for an already stellar cast. Best known for her role as the devious and sexy young Steffy Forrester on CBS’s Bell Phillip Productions soap “B&B” and also for her role in the horror film “Final Destination” in 2011, she can also be seen in the upcoming 3D version of “Piranha,” due out in June. But Steffy fans, do not worry, a “B&B” source tells Highlight Hollywood, the soap will work with her, because Steffy and Jacqueline are such an integral part of the soap, and Wood was gracious enough to confirm it as well.
Sarah, Wood’s character in “Arrow,” is describe as the sister of Dinah “Laurel” Lance who died while aboard Oliver Queen’s yacht in the same incident that caused Oliver to be shipwrecked on an island for 5 years. Even though some are reporting Jackie’s role will be small, it’s said to be very important to the storyline, and she will most likely appear in flash backs of sequences that took place before her death. We all know what this scenery chewing scene-stealer beauty is capable of. She can take any role and steal the show!
Also included in casting are: Stephen Amell as as Oliver Queen, Katie Cassidy as Dinah “Laurel” Lance, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen, Brian Markinson as Adam Hunt, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Colin Donnell as Tommy Merlyn and Colin Salmon as Walter Steele. The pilot was written by Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim who will also executive produce and will be directed by David Nutter.
If the network likes what they see, ‘Arrow’ will begin airing this fall on the CW network.
