Legendary Award Winning Star Lily Tomlin Honored With 345th Star On Palm Springs Walk Of Stars, Highlight Hollywood Exclusive

It was only a month ago, when Lily Tomlin hosted the premiere of Dori Berinstein’s “Carol Channing: Larger Than Life” premiere at The Paley Center in Beverly Hills. This past week it was Carol, who showed up, as dear friend, Lily, received her star on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame. “I was thrilled for her,”  Ms. Channing told Highlight Hollywood. “Lily is such a great artist. Oh, I just love her and Jane.” Lily Tomlin and her longtime partner, writer Jane Wagner, were honored with the 345th star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars on Friday – Almost on the heals of Ms. Channing’s unveiling as the 331st star.
Tomlin, who has won an Emmy, a Grammy and a Tony Award, and been nominated for an Oscar, considered this honor with Jane to be a particularly special moment in her life. Palm Springs has long been the “Sand Box” for such eclectic luminaries as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Bob Hope, Albert Einstein, Bing Crosby, Kirk Douglas, Gerald Ford, Cary Grant, and Jack Benny, not to mention legendary ladies including Marilyn Monroe, Dinah Shore, Kitty Carlisle, Elizabeth Taylor and, of course Carol Channing and Lily Tomlin.
