The George Chakiris Jewelry Collection, A Mothers Day Gift Idea From Highlight Hollywood

George Chakiris is an American icon. The true American story. George was the son of Greek immigrants much like my godfather Telly Savalas, his parents came to America with dreams, one suitcase and the undying love and devotion to their children, who would in the next few years of their arrival began being born. George is still very close to his siblings and other relatives to this day. A dignified, sophisticated, elegant, powerful force, not just on the movie screen, but in life. George however lives with kindness and gentleness, and this is evident whenever one spends the afternoon with one of the most handsome leading men in Hollywood, loving his adorable dogs and creating the most exquisite of jewelry. With Mothers Day right around the corner, Highlight Hollywood paid a very eventful visit to the Golden Globe and Oscar-winner from the hit film “West Side Story,” and dabbled in all the great jewelry lines George has created, which I believe are perfect gifts for those all important and beloved Moms out there.

“I am truly touched, that you felt that my jewelry would be a great idea for Mothers day gifts, Tommy. And there are several items in some of the collections, which I believe would be great gifts for moms.  But you have to look at the site yourself to decide, or at least your readers should. Because I would not want to be the one to pick out a gift for someone else’s mom, aunt, grandmother or daughter. That’s an individual’s decision, and everyone is uniquely different, Tommy,” said the handsome star of “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.”

Uniquely different is what I call George’s keen eye to distinguished taste. From Tippi Hedren to sexy Morgan Fairchild, to the ladies of the Waltons, and even nasty Nellie Oleson’s lovely and beautiful alter-ego, Alison Arngrim, they all love to put on George’s jewelry, and mom Walton, Michael Learned herself is one of my favorites stars in Hollywood who just looks incredibly elegant and classy in pieces from the George Chakiris Collection.  “There is definitely something for everyone,” George tells Highlight Hollywood exclusively.

Though George’s name and face are among the most recognizable the around the world. His jewelry is just making its rounds in Hollywood, and in my humble opinion, it’s only a matter of time before the U.S. market for George’s quintessentially divine artwork will become just as well known as he is here in the U.S. but also as well known as films he’s starred in.  Living a life with passion for the creative arts drew George quite by chance to jewelry making as a hobby. What began as a hobby became a full time appreciation for design and construction and a new creative outlet, which became The George Chakiris Collections.

Recently unveiled in Japan, The George Chakiris Collections are on display at Tokyo’s prestigious Mitsukoshi Department Store.  That’s right. George has made an incredible name for himself throughout Japan and Asia over the years, and his also very popular with Down Under (Aussie) buyers as well.

George has worked opposite Natalie Wood, Rita Moreno and Marilyn Monroe, just to name a few of his gorgeous on-screen leading ladies. Perhaps his love of these women, his leading ladies, his family and those who are lucky enough to know and be loved or cared about by this man are inspiration for him, to create such captivating pieces of jewelry, that it’s artful and genuinely unique to each piece.

Not only that, it is priced perfectly for any budget, though you really have to see it to believe it. So go to George’s website and check out the incredible George Chakiris Collection. It’s often seen on the Red Carpets around Tinseltown, from Grauman’s Chinese Theatre’s eclectic audiences, to Chateau Marmont’s sexy edgy divas, to the grand ladies of Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Brentwood, Malibu and  the Hollywood Hills when you walk into the famed Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Blvd.
