Miss Golden Globe, who is traditionally the child of a celebrity, assists during the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. Francesca Eastwood, the daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher, has been named Miss Golden Globe 2013 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. Eastwood, a student at the University of Southern California, has been acting alongside her parents since she was a young girl, with her film credits including True Crime and The Stars Fell on Henrietta. She also co-stars in E! Entertainment’s reality series Mrs. Eastwood and Company with her stepmother and half-sister.
HFPA president Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly made the Miss Golden Globe announcement Thursday night at a Globes party at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood. “Francesca comes from a very talented family and we are delighted to have her be our Miss Golden Globe,” Takla-O’Reilly said. “She is a budding actress and is a great addition as we celebrate the show’s 70th anniversary.”
Eastwood will take part in the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards, set to air live from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, from the Beverly Hilton on NBC. The ceremony will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
“I have watched the Golden Globes ceremonies since I was a little girl, and it means so much to me to be a part of one of Hollywood’s most illustrious events,” Eastwood said.
