Caleb Moore Dies After Tragic Snowmobile Accident At 2013 X Games, Highlight Hollywood News

Caleb Moore died Thursday, Jan. 31 following a snowmobile  crash at the X Games last week. He was 25. A spokesman for the family, Chelsea  Lawson, confirmed Moore’s death to ESPN.   The Krum, Texas native suffered a concussion after crashing his vehicle while  competing in the Winter X Games’ snowmobile freestyle final at Buttermilk  Mountain in Aspen. Colo. Jan. 24. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital for  emergency surgery after paramedics found bleeding around his heart.

Moore’s death is the first in the 18 years of the X Games, produced by  ESPN.   “We are deeply saddened by Caleb Moore’s passing and our thoughts and prayers  go out to his parents, Wade and Michelle, his brother, Colten, and the entire  Moore family,” ESPN said in a statement. “He will be remembered for his natural  passion for life and his deep love for his family and friends, and he will  always be an inspiration to everyone he touched in the action sports  community.”

 

Moore began competing in snowmobiling as a teenager after switching from  all-terrain vehicles. He won four Winter X Games medals.
