‘True Blood’ Season Six Cast Additions And Alexander Skarsgard Talks, ‘Big War’, Highlight Hollywood News

Alexander Skarsgard is excited and teasing viewers of the hit show “True Blood” on HBO, all about season six, that the production team is heavily in filming currently.  Alex plays the sexy Viking vampire Eric Northman, and he has some fascinating things to day. But, before we get to what he thinks so far of season 6, which debuts in June, here is a run down of the upcoming new cast members, that will send shockwaves and fire throughout Bon Temps this summer. On Sunday June 9, we learn all the secrets of the new Bill Compton, and what about Sookie and Eric? Fans want to know, and they have to wait to find out how last season’s  robert_kazinskyfinale orchestrated by Alan Ball, will be unwound.  Firstly, we had better get ready for a new lover for Sookie, at least one. Hey, it’s Sookie guys!  The UK’s “Eastender’s” hunk,
Rob Kazinsky, who is to play Ben, a charismatic faerie and yet another love interest for little Sookie. Interesting fact: Kazinsky reportedly earned the role of Fili (later filled by Dean O’Gorman) in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy, but resigned for personal reasons.
Then we have another major star, in “Medium‘s” Arliss Howard, who is set to play Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell, a politician with a deep-seated grudge against the Cold Ones after his wife ran off with one, leaving him sole care of his daughter, Willa. TV Line reports that Truman has a tendency to let personal ambition cloud his judgment and override his humanity, like another Geek TV Southern Governor perhaps?

Next up?  “90210′s” Amelia Rose Blaire, in the role of Willa Burrell, Governor’s daughter and vampire sympathizer. And we know how family turmoil and dysfunction is exemplified for Bon Temps residents.  Also  joining the show is ”Friday Night Lights‘” beauty,  Jurnee Smollet, playing good-hearted non-supe Nicole.
But the most highly anticipated arrival is for Macklyn, who will be played by mega star  Rutger Hauer, as ”a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason” (regular viewers will be able to connect the dots on that one).
Season six is of course the first without showrunner Alan Ball at the helm, his duties being taken over by executive producer Mark Hurdis.
SookieStackhouseTrueBloodAnd what about all things, Alexander Skarsgard?  I mean Eric?  On Monday, Jan. 21, both Wetpaint Entertainment shared new spoilers for the upcoming season. Alexander is currently promoting his new film “The East” at Sundance, and he offered a small teaser about the upcoming sixth season. He said the following, according to Wetpaint Entertainment:  “There’s a big war coming up — a big war.”
Skarsgard further  revealed that Bill would be back for season six, but he didn’t reveal if Bill would be the same or not. Mark Hudis did reveal that Bill would have ‘more bite’ in season six.
Bill, war? Sound familiar? Look out viewers, all heck breaks loose!

    Tommy:
Game of Thrones is beginning on MARCH 31st.
If this show has 12 episodes scheduled, TRUEBLOOD will not begin on
JUNE 9th as you reported in the above article.

It will begin on JUNE 16,and it’s only scheduled to run 10 episodes.
That will mean that the show will end on August 18th.

Many fans of the show want to see Dr.Amy Ludwig back on the show.
I’d love to see her come back to help William Thomas Compton at her
rehab clinic, she could heal him of the effects of Lilth’s blood.??
