Race In America, It Runs Deep But, It Unites Even If It’s A Secret Kinship, Highlight Hollywood Honors Black History Month In America

Americans are the only nation with this intense racist hatred. We are also the only nation that fought a civil war over slavery, by Confederate soldiers, who just years earlier, slave owner class considered “white trash.” Thus, proving the fight over the U.S. Civil war was obviously to maintain slavery by men, who would in no point in their lives would ever be able to own slaves.  Carol Channing blew the lid off her snooty friends in Hollywood a few years back when she admitted that her father had been a black man. A friend told me, “No way, she’s the whitest woman I know!” Yes, can you believe people still carry stereotypes, even after all these years, the older generation believes we are stereotypes, and people like Thomas Sowell have become famous perpetrating  and spreading them and that’s sad for our nation.  With the hatred of Barack Obama, based solely on racism by the right, you’d think they would actually understand America’s diverse and sickening history and realize, that he was by far NOT the first U.S. President who has black heritage, only the first to admit it.
Yes, he had no choice, his father has been investigated by the right, plus he wrote a book about his father.  But, what the right fails to truly realize, is American history. Coming from the South, and being related to whites, who thankfully love and claim me from my hometown, I don’t have any identity crisis. I like most Southerners am of mixed heritage.  But, six of America’s greatest Presidents may also have it, and even one was brave enough to admit it openly.  While others like Jefferson hid it, even going as far as burning his mother’s pictures at her death, so no one would know in the future about her true heritage.
Americans are fixated on race, “he’s a Muslim,” a “Kenyan,” all the terms as if we lived in the 1800s, those words from intelligent, educated Americans, who go around being respected by many individuals, but what they harbor in their souls, is dark, as dark as the black they see when they see the President’s face.

Thomas Jefferson

The most revered, often hated and  misunderstood is Thomas Jefferson, from my hometown.  In his 19-page pamphlet “The Five Negro Presidents,” Joe A. Rogers wrote, that the country’s third president was described by a political opponent as the “son of a half-breed Indian squaw and a Virginia mulatto father.”  Mulatto to young people, who do not know what that term means, was a legal terms given under the U.S. Constitution for people of mixed heritage.  It is no secret that Jefferson fathered children with his slave Sally Hemmings from his Monticello residence. However, any evidence of African ancestry remains unconfirmed.
Jefferson allegedly destroyed all papers, portraits and personal effects of his mother when she died.  Wonder why? This is America, who wouldn’t have hidden such a thing centuries ago. People do it today.

BlackPresidents-JacksonAndrew Jackson

In his 2001 book, “Black People And Their Place in History,” Dr. Leroy Vaughn cited  an article written in the Virginia Magazine of History that the country’s seventh president was the son of an Irish woman who married a black man. The magazine also stated that Jackson’s oldest brother had been sold as a slave. This assertion however does remain unconfirmed.

Abraham Lincoln

The country’s 16th president is widely known as “The Great Emancipator,” but in his book, Rogers wrote that Lincoln was in fact the illegitimate son of an African man, a former slave, and that his mother was said to have admitted that he was the progeny of a black man.  With DNA today, you know these things can be proven. But, Americans live in such “secret” hatred, which has poured out of the very veins of the Republican party over the last four years, there is no way these men would be respected if anyone dared to investigate it any further.

BlackPresidents-Harding

Warren Harding

The country’s 29th president, never denied his black heritage. According to author Rogers, “Harding had black ancestors between both sets of parents. William Chancellor, a white professor of economics and politics at Wooster College in Ohio, wrote a book on the Harding family genealogy and identified Black ancestors among both parents of President Harding. Justice Department agents allegedly bought and destroyed all copies of this book. Chancellor also said that Harding’s only academic credentials included education at Iberia College, which was founded in order to educate fugitive slaves.”
BlackPresidents-CoolidgeCalvin Coolidge
In his book Dr. Vaughn claimed, that the nation’s 30th president also had black ancestry, writing Coolidge “claimed his mother was dark because of mixed Indian ancestry. Coolidge’s mother’s maiden name was ‘Moor’, in Europe the name was given to all blacks. Dr. Auset Bakhufu says that by 1800 the New England Indian was hardly any longer pure Indian, because they had mixed so often with Blacks.”  This was always a sticking point where I came from. Anyone who was white and had dark skin, would always claim to be part-Indian, and yet everyone knows why this existed. In fact, it still does.
Dwight D. Eisenhower
BlackPresidents-Eisenhower
Dr. Auset Bakhufu includes the 34th president in his book “Six Black Presidents: Black Blood: White Masks USA,” saying Eisenhower’s mother, Ida Elizabeth Stover Eisenhower, an anti-war advocate, was part black.
The truth is, these old people in America owe it to their grandchildren to no longer continue with these stereotypes.  This brand of hatred is dying with the pre-Baby boomer age today. And it’s atrocious for those of us who are mixed, to suffer the indignities and hatred that is only caused by ignorant fools, who hate others by the very epidermis they see of the person.  We are all more than just an epidermis, we are all human beings, and American citizens.  The Republican party may not think so, but chances are, you’ll never convince your young grandchildren of your biases and hatred. In fact, they will only see shame when they remember you in the years to come.
God bless America, and protect her from itself.  And its innate hatred of itself.

Amazing article Tommy. Our children are not taught about history in school anymore. If they are it is very limited. If they don’t know history, then history is for sure going to repeat again and again. I wish they were taught American History at least from the beginning of our countries history. And the factual history. World history is very important also.

Thank you for keeping all of us informed and remembering the past. It is more important than people really know.

    Ann
