You can’t blame it on the Game of Thrones beer brand, or on the White Walkers. Not even the dragons caused this manner of damage to actor Clive Mantel, who stars in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” The actor had part of his ear bitten off, after an altercation which left him injured, say report. I guess he’ll think twice before suggesting to hotel guests to keep their noise down from now on?
According to the Daily Mail on Monday, March 25, 2013, HBO ‘s “Game of Thrones” actor Clive Mantle needed to have part of his ear sewed back on after it was bitten off by a man who was irate after Mantle made the request to keep the noise down. The attack happened at a Travelodge in the early morning hours of Sunday. The 55-year-old had to have a surgeon re-attach the severed ear part. Mantle, who formerly played the role of the surgeon, Mike Barrett on the long-running BBC medical drama, “Casualty” was in Foster Street, Newcastle at the time of this attack.
Mantle was “shaken and shocked by what happened, you don’t expect this kind of thing to happen in a hotel,” said his spokesperson. The part of the ear that the man bit off was found and taken to the hospital to be sewn back on. Mantle said the police, ambulance and hospital staff were amazing.
The 32-year-old man who bit Mantle’s ear off has been arrested , but released on bail. He will face charges of wounding with intent.
Guess Winter is Coming for the alleged perpetrator of this violence?
