Highlight Hollywood Leading Men Gold Standard: Josh Henderson, Don Diamont And Joshua Morrow, Excellent Performances By The Best

Highlight Hollywood honors the three top leading men in television last week; Josh Henderson, who portrays the conniving and vengeful John Ross Ewing on TNT’s “Dallas,” Don Diamont, who portrays the take-no-prisoners $Bill Spencer on CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless’s” most solid actor Joshua Morrow, who portrays Nick Newman on CBS’s number-one-daytime soap “The Young and the Restless.”  These three great men are talented thespians, who are even more popular.  This week they each had very different storylines, different styles of performing, but each made their show so much brighter by having them on.
Josh Henderson plays J.R. Ewing’s surviving son, who is ready to rumble, getting even with the man/woman/people who killed his father is John Ross’s INT. ASSISTED LIVING - JR'S ROOM Bobby visits JR13 INT. ASSISTEDbiggest goal.  But, he still has time for love in the backseat of a car, has time to fight with his mother, Sue Ellen, who seems to be crumbling without J.R. and even conniving to separately bring down his cousin Christopher in addition to exacting his revenge on those people who crossed the Ewings.  Henderson proves that even though we’ll sorely miss Larry Hagman, that there is a guy on the show, who can wear a big brimmed black hat and also keep the show’s female viewers pining away for a sexy guy as well.
As John Ross shows his grief, his anger, angst and even his lust, Henderson is perfectly cast in the role, and has brought more to the “Dallas” reboot than anyone else on the show, and the show has outstanding leading men and ladies all over the place.  Viewers are rooting for different characters to “Rise to Power,” but only one actor is capable it seems to rise to the occasion to save this show, and it’s definitely Henderson.
“Dallas” airs on Monday nights on TNT at 9 p.m. EST.
While Don Diamont is definitely “B&B’s” top leading man, he just seems so polished in the role.  This week Bill watched in horror as wife Katie caught him and her sister Brooke carrying on in the Forrester Creations’ showroom, while Brooke danced in her underwear to a truly powerful red-blooded American man.  But between his obvious sexual attraction to Brooke, $Bill is still in love with his wife, and wants his family to remain solid.  Don has the ability to make us believe whatever he has to portray.  Bill may be lusting after his sultry sister-in-law, but he’s desperate to keep wife Katie from falling apart, and also trying to keep Forrester Creations afloat as well.
Bill’s the only businessman in the House of Forrester that is really capable of keeping the company going, now that Queen Stephanie has died. Thomas and Rick seem too preoccupied with one-ups-manship to really be able to hold the reigns.  But, is Bill also losing control a little with the liquor? Katie seem determined to keep her husband from drinking, while sister-in-law and temptress Brooke Logan seems able to make him smile.
Don Diamont is forever solid, strong and capable as an actor, and we know that Brad Bell has some exciting things planned for this billionaire, who seems to be out of control, but played by a man who in my opinion, can do no wrong as a thespian.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays on CBS.
And then there’s Joshua! Joshua Morrow, who right now is firing on all cylinders in “The Young and the Restless” as the son of Victor and Nicki Newman, who is desperately trying to keep his family and his girlfriend, Avery safe.  Nick has figured out that the crooked Congressman is out to harm Avery, and he’s gone up against the Congressman and even more powerful, his father, Victor Newman.  Nick told Victor that if Avery is harmed because of his secret dealing with the Congressman, he’ll be very upset. He also is trying to keep wife Sharon stable, who seems to be in control now, but also fighting with brother Adam on a regular basis as well.
Nick has lots of balls to keep in the air in Genoa City, plus he has a young teenage daughter, who has become as reckless as her mother, Phyllis, and he has a young child, Faith, he must protect from her mother, Sharon’s often poor choices.
However, Morrow makes perfect choices daily as an actor, he’s  become solid as a rock from outer space, and continues to shine.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays on CBS.
