Another Off-Season NFL Arrest, Joe Lefeged Of Colts Arrested For Gun Possession, Highlight Hollywood News

The NFL offseason police blotter grew by one early Saturday with the arrest of Indianapolis Colts safety Joe Lefeged on numerous gun-related charges in Washington, D.C. 

Lefeged, 25, and another man were scheduled to be arraigned Saturday afternoon on charges including carrying a firearm without license, unregistered firearm, unregistered ammunition and presence of a firearm in a motor vehicle, according to the Indianapolis Star,  citing a D.C. police spokesperson.
Lefeged was raised in the city’s Maryland suburbs.   Police tried to stop the car Lefeged and Timothy Wilson were in Saturday in northeast Washington, officer Araz Alali told the Star. They were arrested after a handgun was found in the car following the chase.
Lefeged was in the passenger seat and that the gun was found under his seat, CNN correspondent Pamela Brown reported on her Twitter feed. Citing a source, Brown said police also found plastic orange juice bottles in the car, with an “odor consistent (with) vodka.”
Lefeged is entering his third season with the Colts, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers.
