Just hours out of court-ordered rehab, Lindsay Lohan has been ordered to undergo therapy. The 27-year-old actress was released from her court-ordered 90-day rehab stint on Tuesday. A hearing was subsequently held Wednesday morning in a Los Angeles courtroom to review her treatment.
The CEO of Cliffside Malibu facility wrote a letter to the judge in her probation case indicating she will relapse without more therapy. The outlet obtained a copy of the letter, penned by Richard Taite. He suggested Lindsay continue with three 50-minute sessions of therapy per week for the next 16 months. “If these sessions are not required by the court and attendance verified once a month to ensure accountability, it is a set up for almost certain failure,” he writes.
The judge agreed to the order. Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, was present for the hearing. She was notified her client must provide proof of compliance in November 2014.
Lindsay was not in court.
The actress was seen driving away from Cliffside on Tuesday. Recent reports suggest she will now live with a sober coach in Los Angeles for the foreseeable future to ensure she stays on the right path.
Lindsay was ordered to rehab after pleading no contest to reckless driving and lying to police investigating her June 2012 car crash in Santa Monica, California.
