Peter Dinklage is coming to Sesame Street. Highlight Hollywood has been saying for three years, that if you are not watching Game of Thrones, you are missing the best show in the history of television. And at least Sesame Street producers and writers are believers. I didn’t like the show as a kid, growing up in a rural community, urban dwellings didn’t appeal to me. But, I may actually become a Sesame Street fans now.
Perhaps Big Bird was right, and it’s that “Sunny Day” song that talks about sweeping the clouds away. We need more songs like that, especially if you’re a fan of the North and House Stark.
This year’s Emmy Award-nominated Thrones star Dinklage, aka Tyrion Lannister, will be appearing on the Sept 20 episode of Sesame Street. He will be appearing alongside Telly, the Muppet monster with a bad case of nerves. They will play a game of Simon says, which will go wrong when Telly starts to make mistakes. Luckily, Dinklage will be around to give the Muppet the confidence he needs to stay calm and relaxed. After all, the word on the street will be “relax.”
The kids series recently kicked off its 44th season with an appearance by Academy Award winner Charlize Theron.
The Sept 20 episode will be brought to you by the letter “Z” and the number “15″ – two of my favorite characters.
