Kent’s roles included turns in Caravan (1946), The Browning Version (1951) as well as appearing alongside Marilyn Monroe and Laurence Olivier in The Prince and the Showgirl (1957).
The British Film Institute honored Kent in 2011. When asked at the ceremony if she had a message for fans, the actress recalled her time at Gainsborough Studios, where she starred in titles including The Rake’s Progress (1945), The Magic Bow (1946), Good Time Girl (1948).
“It was fun to work at. I never enjoyed any studio as much as Gainsborough, it was really, I think, one of the happiest times of my life. I had a marvelous time there,” Kent once stated.
