“What are you next to in the dictionary? Bitch? Old? Hag? Ugly?” read a tweet from a detractor. “Sarah Palin is George Bush with titts. Both r dumb as fkg rocks,” read a supportive tweet.
Undaunted, Cher doubled down by later tweeting: “Double my last twt & throw in the T-Jihadists.”
Palin hasn’t responded to the attack, but dozens of conservative media outlets on Monday had. “Feminist Cher empowers women by calling Sarah Palin the C-word; shatters glass ceiling of crazy,” read a headline at Michelle Malkin‘s Twitchy.com.
“Cher’s Twitter crusade against the GOP and Tea Partiers alike has hit a new low,” said Breitbart.com.
“Most women will tell you that other than the N-word, the C-word is the most vile in the English language never to be used. Cher apparently doesn’t hold such a belief,” wrote Noel Sheppard at Newsbusters.com.
It’s quite sad that the political right started this violent and disgusting name calling and slander in politics, we all remember the vile language and behavior by Fox News, radio jocks; Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity, as well as Glenn Beck. But, the left is now equally as right to engage in this behavior. How about deleting idiots on Twitter who are attacking you, and deleting them off Facebook. We should not have women being called the “C” word, just as I told friends on the right, to cease sending me racist emails about the first African American president, whether I support or like him or not, I do not enjoy racism and bigotry or vulgar language. People are shameful and shameless these days. Sarah Palin is quiet, because she loves this, and besides, we all know she started it. “Barack Obama is paling around with terrorists.” That on the political stump, which caused John McCain to lose the election in the beginning.
Shame on all of these vulgar people, and hopefully Cher, who I have personally liked in the past will cease engaging with skunks in this banter. It doesn’t elevate anyone.
