Cleo’s Café Blogger Continues Fight To Save ‘The Young And The Restless’ From Jill Farren Phelps’ Clutches, ‘This Campaign Was Started’, Highlight Hollywood News
Those of us who knew William J. Bell and his wife Lee Phillip Bell pre-“Y&R” days and through the inception of “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” have watched over the decades Bill and Lee’s vision birth not one, but two of the most successful soap operas in television history. Fans however have an even deeper feeling for these two dramas, and the condition the number-one-rated soap opera has endured since SONY put Jill Farren Phelps in the position of executive producer. The heated conversations have gone on for over a year now, and those you think are your friends, you learn really are not. Jill Farren Phelps has actors, media and fans taking sides, tearing each other apart, all the while the work of the fans, especially blogger at Cleo’s Café has never ceased.
Just before the holiday season soap star Michael Muhney was fired, and soon a “drip-drip” leaking campaign from high up at CBS and SONY began to release details for which they say they had no alternative but to fire the actor. Fans instead of blaming the powers-that-be, began to assault, insult and defame a young lady, that they have no knowledge of, and that’s when Cleo Café blogger pointed out to us, that her campaign was not about Michael Muhney, and his group cannot coop her passionate advocacy and her supporters, who fight not for any one actor, and not for Michael Muhney, but as she puts it in her blog written on January 30, “People are understandably upset and very sad, unhappy with the departure of Michael Muhney from #YR. Nobody likes to see their favourite leave. However, this campaign was started August 15, 2013, well before this took place. Nobody working on this campaign is associated with him or any group or effort trying to save him and bring him back to #YR. We are absolutely not, nor have we ever been associated with such projects!”
Fans should not be attacking each other, or pretending or trying to associate with a longstanding campaign to oust Jill Farren Phelps and those powers that wish to protect her. Fans would be astonished what is really going on behind-the-scenes, and should stop attacking each other, actors who defend one person’s argument or the other. Bill Bell created the most successful soap by putting the drama on-screen, not off. Sure, things happened during Bill’s tenure, but he was a consummate professional and married to the classiest woman in the Western World, so they handled things with tact, dignity and respect not only for the actors involved, but fans as well.
Media hacks try to pretend they have a “patent” on who Bill Bell was. These people, many of which were not his favorite people at all. Even the holier and highest amongst them “in their own minds.” You fans meant the most to him when it came to his vision. And despite a moron saying, “Bill would not like this Internet noise!” Note: this person is begging for noise on Twitter, and being drowned out by real professionals, not those who want to suck up to the current regime, and will attempt to suck up to the next regime when this one is finally completely removed.
Good for bloggers like Cleo, and keep moving forward. This is your soap, not this regime’s, or their unprofessional so-called media buddies. You can read her latest blog about the State of “Y&R” here!
