American Art Awards Names Mastcove Gallery The Best Gallery In Maine, 2014, Highlight Hollywood EXCLUSIVE News

The American Art Awards announces their top 25 picks  for galleries in March. President of AAA, Thom Bierdz, an artist,  author, activist and actor known to millions as Phillip Chancellor III on The  Young & The  Restless, shared with me why AAA has  selected  as Maine’s finest gallery for 2014.
“Not only is Mastcove the largest privately-owned group gallery in Maine,  it has 35 years experience. Mastcove is like walking into a dream, a fantasy, a  surreal and traditional utopian treasure. It’s like finding the prettiest music  box on a shelf and opening it up to find more pretty inside. Nothing is  wild or combative here – nothing bold or interrogative. What you see is what you  get. The classic timeless aesthetic perfection of soothing ethereal art. They  epitomize the picturesque East Coast, and in choosing our 25 Best Galleries In  The Nation, we like to celebrate gems like this, because we also have selected  more brash, bright, bold, contemporary galleries in America’s  metropolises.”
“Mastcove represents over  eighty artists, all keeping the high standard – from seascapes in oils and  watercolors, to graphics, to more nonobjective paintings and  sculpture, displayed  on the stunning expansive grounds. World renown artists’ paintings hang inside  the Greek Revival home and two-level restored barn. Our congratulations to  the staff, artists, and gallery director Jean Briggs on their excellence – and  we at American Art Awards are so pleased to name them Best In Maine,  2014.”
Located in the heart of the  town’s Historical District, just one block up from Dock Square and adjacent to  Graves Memorial Library on Route 9, Mast Cove Galleries awaits your next visit.
