California is finally digging itself out of the debt that former governors Gray Davis, (Democrat), and Arnold Schwarzenegger (Republican), and the Democratic legislature in Sacramento have cikkectively put us in. So, why now Governor Jerry Brown insists on building the infamous “Bullet Train” throughout historic country-sides in the region is beyond comprehension. However, Tippi Hedren, star of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds” and “Marnie” as well as her community in Acton, Calif. are up in arms over this destructive move.
The Acton Community, including The Shambala Preserve, seeks help from its constituents to oppose the Bullet Train Project. The California High-Speed Rail Authority has decided to route the Bullet Train with a number options all of which go right through the heart of Acton. “This could be a death nell for Acton and the surrounding area,” declares Tippi Hedren (Resident and Founder & President of The Shambala Preserve/ROAR Foundation).
So, please come out to our public meeting, which will be held on Monday, August 11 at 5:30 PM, and let your voice be heard.
The open meeting will be at Acton-Agua Dulce Library, 33792 Crown Valley Road (just north of the 14 FWY).
We should add, that everything in the approximate vicinity will be greatly impacted including The Shambala Preserve and all of its wild ones. The Rail Authority has nothing positive to offer the local community only ruination on many facets. There is overwhelming local opposition to this project. On this coming Monday-August 11, highest ranking officials of the CHSRA are holding a Scope meeting to pitch their case to the Acton Community.
Acton residents are expected to make a strong united show of opposition.
