Harriet Schock/Sabrina & Craig Perform TSS Live! Concert Series Saturday, Aug. 16 At Theta Sound Studio In Burbank, Highlight Hollywood News

Harriet Schock confirms that she’ll be performing this weekend in Burbank with Harriet Schock/Sabrina & Craig, with backup singer Andrea Ross-Greene, who recently starred in Henry Jaglom’s “The M Word” also performing.  Harriet Schock is an award-winning songwriter, actress and singer, and she comes with a very talented group of people.  “I’ve been working in and on shows, showcasing others, acting and doing pretty much everything other than doing my own show for a year,” Schock tells Highlight Hollywood.

“But Randy Tobin has put together and amazing live show called TSS Live (Theta Sound Studios Live).  It’s a small room where the sound is incredible, Tommy.  And there are two cameras shooting video.”  Cameras? If I can make it, I’ll be there, in front of all the cameras! But hey, even if you are shy, I’d suggest you hang out with my pals tomorrow in The Valley.

Harriett added, “The best thing for me is that he has purchased a large mirror to put on the grand piano so that I can see everyone in the audience without straddling the bench or craning my neck!  Opening the evening are Sabrina and Craig, one of my favorite acts,” Harriet added.

Harriet admits that her normal band is too large for the room, but she’s excited to have Andrea as her backup singer.  These ladies are the hottest ticket in town.

Harriet Schock is the consummate storyteller. Anyone who has ever seen Harriet in concert knows that the stories she tells between the songs are equally as important as the songs she performs. And there’s no better place to experience Harriet Schock’s stories and music than Theta Sound Studio on July 25th!

Harriet was born in Dallas, Texas, where her father taught her to play the piano by ear at the age of 4. She studied piano privately through grade school and high school, and she wrote her first song in the seventh grade. Harriet received a B.A. in English but continued writing songs, mostly special material for skits and school events. Shortly after college, she moved to Los Angeles and signed a contract with Colgems-EMI as a staff writer. In 1973, Harriet recorded her first album for 20th Century Records, containing her song, “Ain’t No Way To Treat A Lady,” which became a hit for Helen Reddy and was later nominated for a Grammy.

Harriet is a gold and platinum songwriter and a recording artist with seven solo albums. She was voted best new female artist by Cashbox magazine, received a Dramalog Award for her live show, and has garnered extremely favorable press for each album she has released.

Smokey Robinson, Roberta Flack, Helen Reddy, Lee Greenwood, Johnny Mathis, Syreeta, Carl Anderson, Gloria Loring, Vikki Carr, Manfred Mann, Mireille Mathieu, Letta Mbulu , Nancy Wilson, and many others have recorded Harriet’s songs. She also wrote “Dreaming,” which was recorded by Jodi Benson (The Little Mermaid), a favorite among Little Mermaid fans. With Misha Segal, Harriet co-wrote “First Time on a Ferris Wheel” for the Motown film, Berry Gordy’s The Last Dragon, as well as all the songs for The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking and the animated Secret Garden. Her songs have been featured in numerous films and TV shows.

Harriet is also the author of the book, “Becoming Remarkable – For Songwriters and Those Who Love Songs.”

Harriet taught songwriting for two years at USC in the undergraduate program and has lectured and been published in songwriting magazines nationwide. She has been teaching privately for over 20 years.

Sabrina & Craig‘s signature sound is rooted in their heartfelt connection enveloping audiences in luscious harmonies anchored upon Craig’s finely-crafted guitar voicings and award-winning finger-style playing which emerges as a third voice. The duo builds on their strong musicality by writing lyrics that are at turns sophisticated and witty yet honest and heartfelt.

The blend of Craig’s straight-up, storyteller style and Sabrina’s sometimes sweet, sometimes sassy, always dynamic performances have delighted audiences at festivals, house concerts, private events, and senior centers across the country.

“From a show producer’s point of reference, I’m looking for entertainers having that elusive ‘wow’ factor. The ability to put the audience at ease with interesting pitter-patter and humor. Solid instrumental ability with tight vocal harmonies. Sabrina and Craig have all these attributes in spades – they are crowd-pleasers! I feel comfortable recommending any show producer book these two wonderful entertainers.” ~ Bob Kroll – Producer, Fireside Concerts

“We’ve been following Sabrina & Craig’s musical journey for some time and were thrilled to finally host them at our house concert series. Their impact on the crowd was immediate; you could feel the energy and enthusiasm. Sabrina & Craig’s onstage charm and rapport with the audience left a strong impact. Their clever songs and impeccable timing, not to mention Craig’s great guitar playing, went over very well. We look forward to having them back again soon as they seem to get better each time we see them perform.” ~ Russ & Julie – Russ & Julie’s House Concerts
