Resurrection (2.2 adults) was a far cry from its midseason 3.8-rated opener at 10 p.m., while Revenge (1.4 adults) returned almost a full rating point south of its 9 p.m. showing last fall.
The one-hour Family Guy, a special crossover episode with The Simpsons, fetched a 4.5 rating in the key demo. It topped all other nonsports series for the night, hitting a four-year high and rising a whopping 73 percent from last year’s opener. Fox will make further scripted plays on Sunday next week with the introduction of Mulaney in the 9:30 p.m. time slot.
CBS’ scores are again subject to adjustment thanks to NFL overage, but the latest outings of Madam Secretary and The Good Wife are down from last week with a respective 1.4 and 1.3 rating among adults 18-49. For the newcomer of the two, it marked a 30 percent drop from last week – with CBS projecting a DVR lift of approximately just that much. CSI moved into the Sunday time slot with a 1.4 rating in the key demo, off 30 percent year-to-year, and 9.7 million viewers.
