Steven Vail Fine Arts Named Best Gallery In Iowa, 2015, Highlight Hollywood EXCLUSIVE News

The American Art Awards, with an intent to introduce the best American galleries to unknown artists worldwide, selects their top 25 galleries each year in March. President of is Thom Bierdz, an artist, author, activist and actor known to millions as Phillip Chancellor III on The Young & The Restless.


Bierdz explains Iowa’s selection, “Steven Vail’s installation in a restored historic building in downtown Iowa City is one of the state’s better-known galleries for contemporary and modern art. The Project Room is Vail’s second gallery, after his overwhelmingly successful venture in Des Moines. His niche is that he displays international and high-profile artists, such as Damien Hirst, Willem de Koonig, Chuck Close, Henry Moore, Not Vital and Donald Judd whose works have been exhibited in famous art museums across the world.
“The exhibitions tend to have an academic dimension, exploring intersections between different artistic mediums, and new art movements. We love Steven’s passion, energy and eye for contemporary work, and name Steven Vail Fine Arts the Best Gallery In Iowa, 2015.”
Currently, SVFA in Iowa City is hosting “CRASH!” and exhibition of paintings and drawings by celebrated graffiti artist John “Crash” Matos. The exhibition includes paintings of various scales, drawings, limited edition original screen prints.
