Trump received a star on the Walk of Fame in 2007 for his work on The Apprentice. The Walk of Fame is overseen by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and they have been adding stars to the boulevard for more than 50 years. New stars are added all the time and 24 celebrities per year are selected to receive a star through a nomination process.
An actor named Austin Franklin, who dresses up as Batman on Hollywood Boulevard, said he frequently sees people stomping on Trump’s star as a show of disrespect and disgust. Although it’s not immediately clear what message the swastika on Trump’s star is supposed to convey, it may be related to some of Trump’s critics calling him a racist. There certainly isn’t a shortage of people who dislike the businessman turned politician.
Franklin said, “I’ve never seen this kind of hate put on a star before, not even Bill Cosby.”
I’ve been in this business a long time, and I have to agree with Franklin. Cosby and OJ Simpson are reviled, but Trump is despised beyond words. And for good reason. I have seen karma work its magic many times. I hope I am alive and well, when Donald Trump finally gets his!
