‘Petticoat Junction’ Star Mike Minor, Dies At 75, Highlight Hollywood News

Mike Minor, best known for playing Petticoat Junction‘s Steve Elliott, died of cancer on Jan. 25, Programming Insider reports. He was 75. Mr. Minor first appeared on the CBS comedy in 1964 as a minor character named Dan Plout, who was around for one episode. In 1966, he debuted as Steve, a crop duster originally intended to be Billie Jo’s love interest. His storyline later changed to pair him romantically with Linda Kaye Henning’s Betty Jo; he and Henning later were married in real life.



His other TV credits include My Three Sons, The Beverly Hillbillies, All My Children and L.A. Law.
