Piven will play Jeffrey Tanner, a charismatic visionary determined to solve his daughter’s murder.
Humphrey will also executive produce the project, based on the Israeli format of the same name, along with Keshet Media Group CEO Avi Nir, Keshet International CEO Alon Shtruzman, Keshet Studios topper Peter Traugott and his longtime producing partner Rachel Kaplan as well as Dror Mishani and Shira Hadad. CBS Television Studios will produce in association with Universal Television, where Keshet has a co-production pact.
For Piven, the role comes following his four-season run on the PBS period drama Mr. Selfridge. Before that, the actor spent eight seasons on HBO’s Entourage playing agent Ari Gold, a role for which he won three Emmys and a Golden Globe.
