The 19th Annual Critics' Choice Awards
CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles is building up its ranks for season nine.  Nia Long has joined the cast of the NCIS spinoff as a series regular. She will make her debut in the season nine premiere slated for Sunday, Oct. 1 at 9:30 p.m. Nia-Long-1Long (Boyz N the Hood, Soul Food, The Best Man) will play Shay Mosely, the team’s new executive assistant director. “The character was created specifically for Nia to capitalize on her strengths and personality and we are excited about the new opportunities and dynamics she brings to the show,” said NCIS: Los Angeles executive producer R. Scott Gemmill. “We couldn’t be happier to have her join our family.”
