Box Office Milestone: Stephen King’s ‘It’ To Top $600M By End Of Columbus Day Weekend Holiday

Blade Runner 2049 may be a domestic wipeout for Warner Bros./Time Warner Inc., but Deckard can always hit Pennywise up for a loan. It, the blockbuster adaptation of the Stephen King novel, was the top holdover movie on its sixth Friday. The horror movie earned another $2.7 million (-45%) for a new $297.98m domestic cume. So, barring a disaster of some kind, the $35m, R-rated horror movie will top the $300m domestic milestone sometime today.  We can expect a $9,3m domestic weekend (-44%) and $305m total by tomorrow. I don’t know whether it’ll top $600m worldwide by tomorrow, but it’ll be close nonetheless.MV5BMTg1NTU5NTgwOV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMTQ1NzMzMzI@__V1_SX1500_CR001500999_AL_-1200x799
