The ride is almost over, at least for the series, but possibly not for upcoming movies. Netflix released the trailer for the final season of “Longmire” on Wednesday. It will stream on Nov. 17 and will consist of 10 episodes. All the previous seasons are available for streaming on the service. Longmire’-Final-Season-Trailer_-Unfinished-Business-In-Absaroka-County--630x461Netflix has been the home of the series, which is filmed in New Mexico, since 2015. The first three seasons aired on A&E before the series was canceled, and fans put together one of the biggest “save the show” campaigns ever.

The series is based on the Walt Longmire mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson. The contemporary Western drama follows the unflappable Sheriff Walt Longmire, played by Robert Taylor, who unravels the dark, mysterious secrets of Absaroka County, Wyo.

In the trailer for the season, viewers find Longmire dealing with the disappearance of his lifelong friend and confidant, Henry Standing Bear, played by Lou Diamond Phillips.

Standing Bear has been kidnapped by ex-Cheyenne reservation Police Chief Malachi Strand, played by Graham Greene.

According to the New Mexico Film Office, the production employed about 200 New Mexico crew members, 50 New Mexico principal actors and 1,000 New Mexico background talent workers.

The series wrapped in June. It filmed in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Valles Caldera, Pecos, Glorieta and other locations in northern New Mexico.

The television series is directed by T.J. Scott and produced by Hunt Baldwin, John Coveny, Greer Shephard and Michael M. Robin.

It also stars Katee Sackhoff, Cassidy Freeman, Adam Bartley and A. Martinez.
