Of those injured, 73 were reported in just one day, AZFamily.com reported.

“Lifeguards are warning that there has been a spike in stingray presence in the waters around Huntington Beach, likely due to low tides and the abnormally warm winter weather SoCal has been experiencing,” CBS LA reported.

Lifeguards recommend shuffling your feet in the sand to deter stingrays, CBS LA said.
