Box Office Milestone: ‘Incredibles 2′ Crosses $400M In Just 15 Days, To Become Top Animated Film In History By Next Week

Incredibles 2
Walt Disney’s Incredibles 2 continues to prove, that if you make family-friendly films, the public will come out to see it.  The Pixar sequel earned another $12.3 million (-49%) to cross the $400m mark (and Frozen) in just 15 days. It should make around $41m (-50%) in its third weekend for a $434m 17-day total. That’ll put it in prime position to pass Finding Dory ($486m) as soon as next weekend to become the biggest-grossing animated movie of all time in North America.
Small budget Hereditary will earn around $2.1 million (-40%) in its fourth weekend for a robust $39.3m 24-day total. Won’t You Be My Neighbor? expanded to 654 theaters this weekend and should earn around $2m (-14%) for a terrific $7.2m 24-day total. Just for trivia, Avengers: Infinity War earned $421k on Friday and fell out of the top ten in its tenth weekend of release. I know, I’m sure Disney is crushed, but they’ll have to make due with a likely $1.4m weekend and $672.5m domestic total. Oh, and Gotti will drop 65% for a $280k third weekend and $3.9m 17-day total.
