Box Office: ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Finishes Run With $2.046 Billion, Becomes Fourth Biggest Film In History

Avengers: Infinity War ended its run having earned slightly more than $678 million domestically  for a total of $2.046 billion worldwide. The top three highest-grossing films domestically are Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936 million), Avatar ($760 million) and Black Panther ($700 million), according to Box Office Mojo.

The follow-up to Infinity WarAvengers 4,  will release on May 3, 2019. That movie will also likely do extremely well at the box office, though whether it will surpass its predecessor remains to be seen. Following Avengers 4, the box-office juggernaut that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue with Spider Man: Far from Home.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston, and Josh Brolin. The film is out now on digital HD and Blu-Ray.
