There is devastation, but also a glimmer of hope.    The first trailer for Avengers 4 has finally arrived, five months before it hits theaters. The tagline for the sequel, titled Avengers: Endgame, is, “Part of the journey is the end.” avengers_4_trailer

The film has been shrouded in mystery following Marvel Studios’ cliffhanger ending to Avengers: Infinity War.

Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo return for the next Avengers installment, as do screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Joe Russo revealed Nov. 8 that though the film is still in the editing process, the current runtime for the next Avengers movie is three hours. If that holds, that would make it the longest Marvel Studios movie yet (Infinity War currently holds the record with a length of two hours, forty minutes). The upcoming Avengers movie completed filming in October.

Avengers: Infinity War is Marvel Studio’s highest grossing movie ever. It earned more than $2 billion globally. The next Avengers movie is expected to be the swan song for several MCU members, notably Chris Evans.

Avengers 4 will be released May 3, 2019.
