For a clown who didn’t raise any of his own children, but dropping baby mamas for the next one in line, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that our clown in orange makeup suggests to kids that over 7, believing in Santa Claus is marginal.
On Christmas Eve, the president and the first lady Melania Trump, seated in front of an enormous open fire at the White House, fielded calls from children across America. What should have been a relatively simple photo opportunity, went off the rails after Trump spoke to a 7 year-old, and then questioned whether they believed in Santa.
“Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at seven it’s marginal, right?” asked Trump.
The president eschewed a trip to his Florida holiday home as the government shut down over a dispute over border wall funding. On Monday, Trump tweeted that he was still in the White House working on securing funding for his wall: “I am all alone (poor me) in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security,” Trump tweeted.
