Wednesday night’s cable ratings proved strong territory for reality TV.

On top was “Love & Hip Hop Miami” on VH1, which scored a 0.5 rating in adults 18-49. This was one-tenth of a point higher than its previous performance, and without any serious competition from the NBA, that was enough to give it first place.

“Black Ink Crew Chicago,” on the same network, also managed to improve by 0.1, bringing it to 0.5 and securing its spot in second. Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” rounded out the top 3, even as it failed to improve on the 0.5 it scored last week.

Further down, “Vikings” on History Channel aired its season 5 finale, which was enough to lift it from its seemingly perpetual 0.4 to rate a 0.5. Discovery Channel’s “Moonshiners” also picked up, returning to 0.4 from the 0.3 it slumped into last week. HGTV’s “Property Brothers” didn’t benefit from the upward momentum many other shows seemed to this week, staying put at 0.3.
