There were innumerable beautifully executed works entered this year – and America’s top 25 galleries and museums had a hard time selecting winners. Many wonderful pieces did not get enough votes to take 1st to 6th Place, but all the featured works shown in this article received high praise and high marks to triumph. Congratulations to all these artists for scoring above the stiff competition.
This is the 11th anniversary for the international awards organization which decides the 25 Best Galleries and Museums in America, who decide the World’s Best Contemporary Artists. Gallery decisions are based upon years established, industry reputation, online buzz, location, size, socially relevant exhibits, motivational and educational programs, represented artists as well as artist, client and visitor references.
BIO OF 1ST PLACE WINNER: ‘MOST WINS’ WINNER Linda Steele is a celebrated contemporary artist from the small northeastern town of Leetonia, Ohio, where she was born, raised, and continues to live, love, paint and create; surrounded by family, friends, and nothing short of a herd of Yorkshire terriers. Her artistic abilities were evident at the early age as she designed her own paper dolls. Upon graduating from high school, she completed the commercial art program at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and has since enjoyed an award-winning 35 year career in professional doll artistry. Only two years ago, Linda discovered the mystery, magic and creative freedom of fluid acrylic painting. Regardless of the source of inspiration, Linda’s mantra, “I paint for my own enjoyment” bursts from her heart to life as it is revealed on canvas for the enjoyment of all. Just as she has earned accolades from the international doll community, this new creative endeavor has not gone unnoticed. She once again is receiving recognition from the Fine Arts Community for her new genre of creative expression. SEE LINDA STEELE’S WORK HERE: http://steeleoriginals.faso.com/
