This weekend’s big awards event will be the Grammy Awards, which features the best of music.  Behind-the-scenes has been filled with drama, but it’s still been an exciting awards season so far.

The Best Soundtrack for Visual Score nominees is the exciting category we’re all waiting for.  In this category: Disney’s “Avengers: Endgame,” Disney’s “Mary Poppins,” Disney’s “The Lion King” and HBO’s “Chernobyl” as well as HBO’s “Game of Thrones” for the epic third episode “The Long Night,” when the Night King arrived at Winterfell.

The Oscars will be earlier this year, set for Sunday, February 9.  We’re all ready, are you? It airs live from the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood, and will be televised live on the ABC Television Network.  “Joker” has the most nomination, with 11.

Last weekend’s SAG Awards saw a lot of new first time winners, including HBO’s “Game of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage.  And both Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston won their first SAG Awards, Brad for “Once Upon a Time’ and Jen for Apple+ TV’s “The Morning Show.”

What else happened behind-the-scenes? Tommy will dish on all of it.

The Oscars will go host-less again this year and it seems to have everyone excited and hopeful that it won’t run too long or end up being too political and hopefully fans are excited for the big awards this year, since so many of the films are blockbusters as well.  Brad Pitt is the early favorite to win Best Supporting Actor for his role in Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time” and Joaquin Phoenix is the buzz for Lead Actor for his powerful role in “Joker.”

Coming up next month, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” returns for the second half of Season 10 with a lot of shockers on the way, including a major star’s departure from the series.  Also, the show’s former leading man Andrew Lincoln, who left the show two years ago will be filming several “The Walking Dead” feature films for the big screen and is about to begin filming soon.

The season returns on Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 and you won’t want to miss it.

Also, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant’s new HBO Limited Series “The Undoing,” which premiere in May is getting a lot of Emmy-buzz already.  It returns Nicole to HBO.  The psychological drama is based on Jean Hanff Korelitz’s best-selling book You Should Have Known.

The Undoing also stars Edgar Ramirez,  Ismael Cruz Cordova, Matilda De Angelis, Lily Rabe, Noma Dumezweni, Noah Jupe, Sofie Grabol and Donald Sutherland.

And don’t you miss HBO’s “The Outsider” on Sunday nights and “The New Pope” on Mondays.
