PG&E Equipment Catches Fire in San Francisco, Power Outage Causes Cancellation Of Ballet Performance

More than 9,000 homes and businesses in San Francisco lost power on Wednesday night when equipment in an underground Pacific Gas & Electric Co. vault caught fire. 

PG&E emergency crews were seen looking at underground equipment at the corner of Hayes Street and Laguna Street after an underground electrical transformer reportedly exploded causing an outage in the nearby neighborhood in San Francisco, Calif. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020.
