Fire In Beverly Hills’ Beverly Crest District Extinguished

79 firefighters from LAFD and LA County Fire put out a brush fire in the Beverly Crest area Tuesday morning.

The 1.8-acre fire was reported at about 10:15 a.m. in steep terrain near 40 Beverly Crest Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“The terrain is very steep, presenting challenges for firefighters on the ground, as water drops continue from the air,” said Nicholas Prange of the LAFD.

After an hour and 36 minutes, the firefighters had stopped all forward progress, according to an LAFD incident alert.

By 11:50 a.m., the fire was contained, and no structures were damaged, Prange said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation
